Introducing the Haers 20oz Insulated Stainless Steel Shaker Bottle

Today we are adding a new model to our sports drinkware line: a 20oz double-wall vacuum insulated stainless steel shaker bottle, model HGD-600-029.

stainless steel shaker bottle

For a long time, the shaker bottle has been a mixing tool. You add the powder, shake, and drink it within minutes of finishing a workout. That pattern is changing. More people now mix a shake in the morning and finish it at lunch, or carry the same bottle from the gym to the office and onto the evening commute. Once a shaker spends hours in a bag, smooth mixing is no longer the only question. The other question is what the drink tastes like four hours later. That is the question this bottle was designed to answer.

A Growing Category with a Changing Use Case

According to IMARC Group, the global shaker bottle market was worth about USD 3.0 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 4.8 billion by 2034, a compound annual growth rate of roughly 5.25%.

The growth comes from what goes inside the bottle. Protein powders have moved well beyond the weight room, plant-based proteins have widened the audience, and meal-replacement drinks have turned the shaker into something people use at their desks as much as at the gym.

That shift changes how long a drink stays in the bottle. A post-workout shake is finished in ten minutes. A meal-replacement shake mixed at 8 a.m. might not be finished until noon. The product upgrades the market is moving toward reflect this: customization, leakproof seals, and insulation.

Looking at how shaker bottles are sold today, the category has settled into three broad tiers:

  • PP shakers cover the entry level. They are light and inexpensive, which is why they are so often bundled with protein tubs or handed out at events.
  • Tritan shakers cover mainstream retail. They are clearer, harder, and more resistant to scratches and staining than PP.
  • Insulated stainless steel shakers sit above both, at a higher price point and with a longer use cycle.

For a brand that already sells a PP or Tritan shaker, an insulated stainless model does not replace that line. It adds a top tier, with a higher retail price and a larger, more durable surface for the brand itself.

Who This Shaker Is For

The end users of an insulated shaker are not one group. Each group comes to it for a different reason, and each is reached through a different kind of brand.

End user Typical scenario Where current options fall short What this bottle offers Best-fit brand channel
Meal-replacement users at work Mix in the morning, drink at lunch Single-wall bottles warm up within hours Double-wall vacuum cold retention Meal-replacement and nutrition brands, corporate wellness programs
Regular gym-goers Shake after training, bottle stays in the bag all day Condensation soaks the bag; the body holds on to odor Sweat-free exterior, 304 stainless steel body Supplement brands, gym chains
Outdoor and commuting users One bottle for shakes, cold brew, and water A plastic shaker rarely works as an all-day bottle Cold retention, carry handle, leakproof flip lid Sports retailers, outdoor brands
Style-conscious fitness users The bottle is part of the gear Plastic finishes and prints wear over time Surface finishes, laser engraving, Pantone matching Activewear labels, DTC brands

How It Compares to Plastic Shaker Bottles

Most shakers on the market today are made of PP or Tritan. Both are good materials for what they do, and the comparison below is meant to show where each one fits rather than to rank them.

PP shaker Tritan shaker Haers insulated stainless steel shaker
Body structure Single wall Single wall Double-wall vacuum
Cold retention Low Low Typically 12–24 hours, adjustable by insulation spec
Exterior condensation Yes Yes No
Scratch and odor resistance (body) Scratches and retains odor easily Clearly better than PP Stainless steel body resists odor retention
Transparency Semi-transparent Transparent, easy to read measurement marks Opaque

Temperature: the difference that comes from structure

Whether the wall is PP or Tritan, a single layer of plastic lets heat pass straight through. A cold shake drifts toward room temperature, and in warm weather it gets there quickly. This has little to do with which plastic is used. It is a matter of structure.

A double-wall vacuum body removes the path heat travels through. Depending on the insulation specification, our vacuum bottles typically keep drinks cold for 12 to 24 hours, and the vacuum process can be reinforced for brands that have a specific performance target in mind. The same structure keeps the outer wall at room temperature, so no condensation forms on the outside. For a bottle that spends the day in a gym bag or on a desk next to a laptop, that matters as much as the temperature of the drink.

Odor: where it actually comes from

Anyone who has used a shaker for a few months knows the smell that stays after washing. In practice, that odor builds up in three places: the silicone seal, the mixing filter, and fine scratches in the body.

Tritan already resists odor and scratching much better than PP. A stainless steel body goes further on the largest of those three surfaces, the one the drink sits against for hours. The lid and filter, however, are PP on this model, as they are on most shakers. That is why both parts are fully detachable: odor in a shaker is managed as much by how easily every part can be cleaned as by what the body is made of. We have written in more depth about why protein shakes leave odors in insulated bottles and what manufacturing choices affect it.

Brand surface

A metal body opens up decoration options that plastic does not. Laser engraving cuts through the coating to reveal the steel underneath, so the logo cannot wear off. Powder coating, soft-touch finishes, and other surface treatments give a brand a much wider range of looks and textures to work with. For a product positioned at the top of a range, that surface is a large part of what the customer is paying for.

When PP or Tritan is the better choice

An insulated stainless shaker is not the right answer for every program. For large-volume giveaways where unit cost decides everything, PP remains the practical choice. For users who want to see the mix and read measurement marks through the wall, Tritan’s transparency is a real advantage. And for anyone who counts every gram in their bag, a plastic shaker will always be lighter. The insulated model is built for the use cases above, where the drink stays in the bottle for hours.

protein shaker bottle

The 20oz insulated stainless steel shaker bottle brings these points together in one design:

  • Double-wall vacuum insulation. Keeps shakes cold for hours with a sweat-free exterior.
  • Detachable mixing filter. Breaks up powder for a smooth shake and comes out completely for cleaning.
  • Leakproof flip-top lid. A locking design prevents accidental opening, and the flip cover allows powder to be added without removing the lid.
  • Large carry handle. Comfortable to carry to the gym, the office, or outdoors.
  • Food-grade materials. 304 stainless steel body, with BPA-free PP lid and filter.

Customization and MOQ

The shaker is available for private label and custom production:

  • Surface finishes: a range of coatings and finishes to match a brand’s style
  • Custom colors: Pantone color matching for consistent brand identity
  • Logo application: silk screen printing, laser engraving, heat transfer, and digital printing, with more logo decoration options available
  • Lid options: if another Haers lid fits this body, it can be used in bulk production without re-molding costs; see our custom lid options
  • Packaging: retail, gift, and promotional packaging tailored to the program

The MOQ for custom production is 2,000 pcs per color.

Because the design has already gone through structural development, lab testing, and trial production, ordering it as an ODM model shortens the overall lead time. The ODM process runs in four steps: choose the model, finalize design and packaging, approve samples, and move into mass production under our quality control system.

FAQ

Can I shake hot drinks in this bottle? We recommend using it for cold and room-temperature drinks. Shaking a hot liquid in a sealed container builds up pressure inside, which can force the lid open.

How long does it keep drinks cold? Depending on the insulation specification, our vacuum bottles typically keep drinks cold for 12 to 24 hours. If your program has a specific target, the insulation process can be reinforced to meet it.

Is it dishwasher safe? The lid and filter are detachable for thorough cleaning. Dishwasher suitability depends on the surface finish selected, so please confirm it with our team for the finish you choose.

Can I swap the lid or add a mixing ball? If another Haers lid fits this bottle, it can be used without re-molding costs; if not, a re-molding fee applies. For other mixing options, our team can review the request at the sampling stage.
