20,000 Insulated Bottles In Aid Of Turkey
At 9:28 am Beijing time, 2023 (4:28 am local time, February 6th),a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Turkey. The epicenter was located in the south-central part of the country, the province of Kahramanmaraş, with a depth of 20 kilometers. The earthquake tremor was felt throughout Asia, Africa and Europe, and had an impact on some surrounding countries. At 6:24 pm on the same day local time, another 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck near the epicenter of the previous earthquake.
This earthquake was also the second largest in Turkey in the past hundred years. The earthquake in Turkey caused a large number of houses to collapse and the temperature in the affected areas dropped below zero, so the people were in urgent need of warmth supplies. On February 10th, the Turkish Embassy in China issued an announcement on earthquake relief. After noticing the demand for daily necessities such as hot water bottles in the affected areas, Haers decided to donate insulated bottles to Turkey to contribute to the earthquake relief efforts. On February 11, Haers contacted the embassy to finalize the details of the donation, and promptly prepared the goods to be urgently shipped to Turkey.
On February 13th, the large truck with tens of thousands of insulated bottles from Haers ’s factory in Yongkang Economic and Technological Development Zone was driven to the warehouse in Shanghai, and then shipped to the earthquake-stricken areas in Turkey by special airplane.
It is reported that the insulated bottles donated to Turkey by Haers Company include three brands with various styles, totaling 22,862 insulated bottles with a value of $250,000.”Insulated bottles can keep warm sustainably, and we hope to let the affected people drink hot water.” The relevant person in charge of Haers said. The fact proves that these insulated bottles not only solved the problem of hot water, but also brought great convenience to the people in the disaster-affected areas and warmth to their hearts.
Overall, in the face of natural disasters, human beings should uphold the spirit of solidarity and cooperation, and through the integration of global resources, we should work together to cope with the disasters, alleviate the suffering of the people in the disaster-affected areas and build a better world. As love knows no boundaries, we should also cherish our existing life and peace more and make our own contribution to world peace and development.
